NYPD Shoot 21 Bullets Hitting 8 Times an Unarmed Boy!

NY Police on Rampage Again?
NY Police are under fire again for the murder of another unarmed innocent youth. This time it was a mentally retarded teen approaching them with a hairbrush. Police officers fired 20 bullets hitting the teen 8 times killing him instantly.
Using less than half the bullets and hitting him less than half as much as Amadou Diallo, another innocent gunned down under 41 shots striking him 19 times, 7 in the bottom of the foot one might think the police were saving ammunition. Certainly their aim is getting a lot more demented as their targets get younger.
Officers were responding to a 911 call where they heard in the background the subject was armed. Later calls and pleas from the mother that the mentally ill child was unarmed went ignored. As the uncomprehending mentally challenged youngster approached the officers with hairbrush in hand they mowed him down in a hail of fire. He never had a chance to understand their curt orders to halt and get on his knees. Police procedure does not understand humanity as it is designed to intimidate and humiliate the suspect into capitulation to their commands. Faced with a mentally challenged child the need for humanity could not over power the automatic reaction of the trained police. They felt threatened, as they stood armed to the teeth surrounding a teen with a hairbrush.
"Why did the police not heed the warnings ... that her son was unarmed?" said Paul Wooten, the family's attorney. "Why was it necessary for the overwhelming use of deadly force? Five police officers fire 20 shots and get eight hits. Is there no proportionality?"
Last year, New York police fired 50 bullets at three unarmed men in a car, killing Sean Bell on his wedding day and seriously wounding his two friends. Three officers are scheduled for trial in February.
As the para-military police forces gear up for terrorists they become ill equipped for the actual day-to-day encounters with citizens. The fear being bred into our own people on all sides is feeding a dangerous trend in police activity. The people are now the enemy and feared by law enforcement to the point that children with hairbrushes are being wasted.
